Herc's Adventures is a action-adventures game released for the Playstation and the Sega Saturn by LucasArts Entertainment in 1997. The Playstation version was released internationally, but the Sega Saturn version was exclusive to North America.
Players up to two can pick among the three ancient Greek Heroes; Hercules, Atlanta or Jason, who are on a quest to defeat Hades and save the Goddess of nature, Persephone.
Quest[]
After Hades kidnap the Goddess of the Spring Persephone, the world has turn into a land of starvation while being under the reign of Hades. Zeus must summon one of his best heroes in a quest to save all Greece.
Gameplay[]
The characters pick up various weapons and items while progressing the journey, which includes: pepper breath against bees and wasps, frost breath that froze enemies, lightning which when hurled towards a target blasts it with electrical energy from the sky, spears, boar traps, flaming spears, bombs, an evil Pandora's box, shrink doll and laser gun from the aliens.
Gyros will increased your health bar, and each hero had a second streght bar that depleted whenever your character ran or picked up and carried an object. Both your health and strenght need to be increased by buying lessons from a strength trainer or finding red hearts throughout the game.
Every time the players die, it doesn't necessary means that the game will be over. Instead, they are send down to Hades underworld and needed to fight their way back to the exit in order to get a chance to continue. The more they die, the far futher away they are sent into the underworld, while increasing harder to fight their way out. However, there are limited towards death.
