Hades (voiced by Castulo Guerra) is the main antagonist and one of the seven gods encountered in Herc's Adventures. This shady figure rules the Underworld, where giant armies of skeletons and other monsters follow his command.

Story[]

Hades kidnaps Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, and by doing that stops spring from coming to Ancient Greece. The entire land quickly becomes a land of starvation as crops don't grow and there's not much food left. Soon the villain summons all of his forces and minions to stop anyone who dares oppose him and his evil plot.

Personality[]

First of all, Hades is a very arrogant and overconfident god - he never expects anyone to stop him and his plans. He also has a tendency to mock the Heroes, whenever they encounter him. But he is quite shrewd and clever too because he tries to trick the heroes in bringing him the Golden Fleece needed to enter the Underworld where he resides. The ruler of the dead is also short tempered, as he becomes enraged quickly whenever his plans fail. In short Hades can be characterized as a classic villain - evil, arrogant and short tempered.

Appearance[]

Hades is portrayed as a dark and shady figure. Just a glimpse his face clearly shows that he is mean spirited: the sharp nose, the evil gaze and the mean smile, all clearly show that he is evil. Hades also has a deep blue beard and always wears a dark purplish coat that covers most of his body, only brown clothing from under the cloak is visible. And finally he wears a pair of golden bracelets around his wrists. The lower part of Hades' body is never seen, as he always stays in a fiery ravine, presumably leading to the Underworld itself.

Powers and Abilities[]

As a god, Hades has got some divine powers, for example creating homing balls of lightning or spitting fire from his mouth. His other powers include summoning monsters and skeletons, colossal strength and the ability to appear from the depths of the earth mostly anywhere. As Hades himself states, his power depends on the amount of deaths.
